This page explains what happens to information on this website. The short version: the league does not track visitors, does not run advertising, and does not sell anything to anybody. The only people who create an account here are the town directors who report scores.

Who runs this site

The site belongs to the Nassau County Youth Football League ("the league"), which decides what goes on it and is responsible for its content.

The site was designed, built and is maintained by Biancamano Ventures Ltd, acting as the league's service provider. Biancamano Ventures Ltd does not own the league's information, does not use it for its own purposes, and does not share it with anyone outside the services listed below.

If you are just browsing

You do not need an account to read scores, standings, schedules or anything else here. If you are only reading the site, the league collects nothing about you:

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server records for security and reliability, which is standard for any website. See Services we rely on.

What is stored on your own device

Two small settings are saved in your browser so the site behaves the way you left it. They stay on your device, they are never sent to the league, and nobody else can read them:

Clearing your browser data removes both. If you add the site to your home screen, a copy of the pages is also stored on your device so it still opens at a field with poor signal. That copy is yours and goes no further.

If you register to report scores

Accounts exist for one reason: so that only an approved director can post results for a town. Accounts are for adults acting on behalf of a member town.

What you give us

Your password is handled by our accounts provider and is stored in a scrambled form. Nobody at the league, and nobody at Biancamano Ventures Ltd, can see it or recover it. If you forget it, you reset it.

A registration stays pending until someone in the league office approves it. The league office can see your name, email, phone number, town and whether you are approved, so it can tell a real director from a stranger. Phone numbers are there so the league office can reach you about a score, and for nothing else.

Scores you submit

When you send a score report it is emailed to the league office and recorded for the season. A report contains the teams, the opponents, the final scores, the dates played, your town, and the account that submitted it. Scores are published on this site, as results always have been. Your email address and phone number are not published.

Photographs

This site publishes photographs from league games, and those photographs include children. The league publishes them the way a team programme or a local newspaper would: to show the games being played. The site does not tag anyone, does not name the children in the pictures, and does not use face recognition of any kind.

Removing a photo If you are a parent or guardian and you want a photograph of your child taken down, contact the league office and it will be removed. You do not have to give a reason, and nobody will ask you for one.

Children

The league does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 through this website. There is nothing here for a child to fill in: no sign-up, no comments, no messages, no profile. Accounts are limited to adult town directors approved by the league office. If you believe a child has given us information through this site, contact the league office and it will be deleted.

Services we rely on

Running the site needs a few outside services. They handle information only to do their job, and the league does not sell information to anyone, ever.

Some pages link out to town club sites, National Sports ID and Facebook. Once you follow a link you are on somebody else's site under their rules, not ours.

Your choices

Use the contact route below for any of these.

Security

Score reporting is behind a sign-in, submissions are checked against the approved-director list before they are accepted, and passwords are never visible to the league. That said, no website can promise perfect security, and this one does not. Please do not send anything sensitive through this site. It is a football league site: it needs your name, your email, your phone number and the score, and nothing more.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.

Contact

For anything on this page, including a photo takedown, an account removal, or a question about what is held about you, contact the league office through the NCYFL Facebook page.

About the site builder

This website was designed, built and is maintained by Biancamano Ventures Ltd. The design, layout, code and original graphics of this site remain the property of Biancamano Ventures Ltd. The league's name, logo, photographs, scores, rules and other league material remain the property of the Nassau County Youth Football League and its member towns.

Biancamano Ventures Ltd provides and maintains the site for the league. The league is responsible for the content it publishes here, including photographs and score data, and for handling the requests described above. The site is provided on an as-is basis, without any warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and Biancamano Ventures Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or from content the league publishes on it. Nothing in this paragraph limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Please have this reviewed I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. This policy describes accurately how the site actually works today, but a site that publishes photographs of children should have its privacy policy and its photo consent practice checked by an attorney familiar with New York youth sports organisations before you rely on it. It is also worth confirming the league carries written photo permission from parents at registration.
